We believe that everyone, from scholars to simple Tarot enthusiasts, owe the owner of the site, the historian Lothar Teikemeier, the highest gratitude for his profound love of the subject combined with his great competence, having led to the creation unique in its field, exhaustive and continuously updated, thereby facilitating a better transmission of the body of knowledge and the history of the Tarot at an international level. Among other things I believe in the validity of his 5x14 theory on the number of original Trionfi. His conviction, supported by historical documentation, makes Lothar Teikemeier in my opinion a grand Tarot historian.

Site of the historian of tarots Jean-Michel David where it is possible to find relevant subjects: other than tarots, you can find essays on philosophy and cabbala, anthroposophy, Freemasonry, etc. Jean-Michel has taught Tarot courses over varying duration since the late 1980s. His current courses include a year-long course in Melbourne and an online pdf-based 30 week course. He was an organiser and a presenter at the 2005 International Tarot Conference. Jean-Michel has also featured on ABC’s Radio National with Rachel Kohn.

The Accademia de' Germini was founded in 2008 with the aim of discovering and exploiting the Germini or Florentine Minchiate, an exciting and complex play of the Renaissance period, practiced with 97 cards and in that time spread between nobles and commoners, poets (Aretino) and painters (Bronzino and Lippi).
